Masquerade

Good Afternoon Blog Friends

Hope you are keeping warm - it's very cold where I am.  Today I have made another DT card with those beautiful stamps from Creative Expressions entitled Masquerade.  I started off with a piece of cream card and used Sue Wilson's cobblestone technique (see Creative Expressions Project Book  for more examples of this).  Next I used two smaller matts, one white, one red and backed them with a piece of brown cardstock distressed with Vintage Photo and cut with the second largest Spellbinders Grand Labels 1.  Then I stamped the lacy design from the stamp set three times on to black cardstock and embossed them with white embossing powder, cutting the designs out with the second largest of Spellbinders labels fifteen.  The gloves were cut with Spellbinders Wizard Die Rose Fan Blade and Gloves.  I cut several of them and stuck them together for dimension, triple embossed them with black UTEE, swiped them with Perfect Medium and added Mica Powders and heated the powders to set.  The same procedure applied for the oval set with gems but I stamped the feather with gold permanent ink into the heated embossing powder too and then when cooled I gave it a coat of Glossy Accents . I stamped one of the masks with Archival on to tissue paper, heat set it, crumpled it up to add texture and adhered it to a piece of white cardstock brushed with a  coat of PVA clear glue.  I added a coat of  PVA to the image, heat set it and cut it to give the image a border.  I shaped the image, applied Cosmic Shimmer coloured PVAs and heated them carefully until they popped and burst.  The quarter of the card housing the mask was covered with old dictionary paper, coloured slightly, coated with PVA and then I added some red tulle.  I added a  red tulle bow to the corner of the card and a flower made with Spellbinders Jewel Flowers and Flourishes Set and I added a Fancy Pearl.

Hope you have a nice evening.

Hi lilygee
Wow this is very different and such a lot of techniques some of which I have not heard of or tried.
The colours are lovely and bold which really makes this pop.
