Sorry I haven’t been around – I’m recovering from a bout of flu and missed being with you but maybe today’s contribution will make up for my absence – do hope so and really would love to hear your comments. A Christmas Card made with one of my favourite sets of Spellbinders – The Poinsettias. The background piece is my usual 8x8 cardstock; it is a white pearlescent and I have used one of the dies from the Spellbinders Edgeabilities Classic Petal Set to pierce the edges (a picture is included for you). I then scored around the piercing and added some red pearls. I cut another square of cardstock that fitted inside the score lines – this was embossed with a mask (That Special Touch Mica Mask – Holly) and distressed with Adirondack Watermelon Ink. I made the wreath by using two standard circle dies, one large and another smaller and cutting some corrugated cardboard for the circle with a hole. I covered the circle with wadding and then wrapped it in red organza ribbon and red and white bakers twine. I cut the poinsettias and leaves in several different sizes and covered the wreath with them. I added some dark red pearls to the centres. I crumpled a small piece of cardstock, distressed it and misted with Tarnished Gold Vintage Cosmic Shimmer Mist and placed it in the hole of the reef. I added a gold ribbon and bow to the card and a metal heart. The sentiment comes from Creative Expressions Rubber Stamp Set Winter Wonderland. That’s all for now – hope to be with you again tomorrow if I’m up to it. Take care and have a great evening.
