Très chic

Good Morning Friends,

I made this card for my mum’s birthday and I was quite pleased with how it came out.  The background card was matted onto a pale beige pearlescent cardstock and came from  a Samantha Walker digikit called ‘Honey Golden Sun’ available at http://www.jessicasprague.com/.  I also printed it out on the same very pale beige coloured pearlescent card and I couldn’t believe how beautiful it looked; it printed out with lovely gold highlights.  I took some plain white heavy cardstock and cut one of the ‘Spellbinders Grand labels 23’ and embossed it with the ‘Vintage Dressform’ embossing folder from ‘Couture Creations’.  I distressed the label 23 by mixing frayed burlap and victorian velvet distress inks and applying them around the edges and to the embossed image.  I embellished  the image with pearls and felt flowers made from scraps of the felt leftover from cutting the larger felt flowers on the card.  I used two of the layered swirls from ‘Heartfelt Creations’ to embellish the sides of the labels 23 and cut a tag from one of the Spellbinders ‘Blossom Tags and Accents’ designed by Samantha Walker;  this was used for my sentiment.  I added a bow from some nice white cotton crochet ribbon in my stash and a pearl brad  attached through the centre of a small flower cut from the smallest of  the anemone flower toppers (Spellbinders).  I also decorated the inside and back of the card but I will probably show you those tomorrow.  Take care and bye for now.  Love lilygee xxx.

Hi Jean, I love your card designs they are so detailed and pretty. Are you the Jean that had just made the Creative Expressions design team? If you are, I'll be working alongside you too. I would like to follow you, but you don't have a followers gadget. Take care Michelle x
