Fairy Tales

Good Morning Everyone,

This is a thank you card I made for someone using my favourite
'Lavinia Stamps' http://laviniastamps.com/  and brayering and masking to create the scene.   The original is shown below the card without any Spellbinders added. I used 'Adirondack Butterscoth, Peach Bellini and Mountain Rose and Espresso for the brayered and masked parts.  I cut a circle from a sticky note  and placed it where I wanted the moon.  I started brayering at the top using the Butterscoth, then added the Peach Bellini and finally Moutain Rose; hence going from light to dark colours.  I removed the sticky mask and stamped the Moon Fairy over the masked moon with Versafine Onyx Black.    I stamped the stars in clusters and then made a torn paper mask with copy paper to create the hills.  I brayered first with Butterscotch at the bottom and then began using the masks to create a series of hills, using Mountain Rose and Espresso on the upper hills.  I used the 'Gip' stamp at the top, around the fairy, moon and sky and stamped the 'Poppy Group' stamp over the brayered edge at the bottom.  I distressed the edges using 'Espresso' and added some stickles to the fairy wings, moon and stars.  I'd like to talk about my experiences with brayering some time next week and give some tips that I have discovered through trial and error.  Brayering is basically a matter of practice but having the right tools is also vital.

I added a frame in Centura White Pearlescent made with Spellbinders Grand Squares and backed it on to my favourite Grand labels 23, adding some foliage, a flower made from Spellbinders Blossom 3 and some rolled felt flowers.

Hope you like the card.  Will post again soon.  Lots of love from lilygee.  xxx
