Sew Sweet

Good Evening Friends,

My blog is rather lonely so I hope a few visitors arrive soon!  I love sewing and I made this card just for myself really - it's the kind of card I'd like to receive and if anyone does drop by, I hope they like it too.  There is a nice inside too and I'll upload it too later.  As you might have noticed, I really like my 'Spellbinders labels 23' and here I used two of the larger dies to make a frame for my card in white pearlescent 'Centura' card.  It frames the patchwork I made using several of Samantha Walker's papers from a digikit.  I covered all the joins in narrow pink ribbon to emphasize the squares.  I added some pastel baker's twine at the top of the card made by 'Creative Expressions', http://www.creative-expressions.uk.com/ . I also twisted and stuck some of the twine onto a circle and added a button decorated with fabric paint.  The dies come from a set by 'Spellbinders' called 'Sewing Elements'.  The thread holders were wound with different pastel shades of bakers twine, some silk was draped over the sewing machine to resemble work in progress and several buttons were added as embellishments to jazz the card up and add more texture.  I made the flowers from 'Spellbinders' 'Bitty Blossoms'.  The sentiment was added as appropriate to the theme of 'sewing', 'hence you're sew sweet'.

Hope to post again soon and bye for now.  Love lilygee xxx
